Cold River Gin
About 10 years ago, thanks to the rise of low-carb diets such as Atkins, there was a surplus of potatoes in the state of Maine. Maine distilleries took advantage of this phenomenon and scooped up all the potatoes they could get their hands on. As a result, Cold River Gin was born, a gin made with 100% whole potatoes from Maine and the the pure water of Maine’s Cold River. Using a recipe that dates back to the early days of British gin, Maine distilleries uses their own secret blend of seven traditional botanicals that are steeped for the perfect amount of time to infuse the essential flavors.
