Brugal 1888 Rum
Since 1888, Casa Brugal has been creating distinctly different rum to its own higher standards, maintained today by the 4th and 5th generation of the founder’s family. Hailing from the Dominican Republic, Brugal 1888 is a distinctive and unique expression of the house’s style.
The creation of 1888 was the first time Brugal used Sherry casks and the use of two different types of wood, Ex-Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry, to age its rum, a technique usually reserved for high-end single malts, to create a distinctive spirit.
• First aged in ex-bourbon casks for up to 8 years, followed by up to 6 years in hand-selected 1st fill Oloroso Sherry casks.
