Brendan Tracey – Oro Verde 2015
100% Orbois. A natty, dry white made from the native Loire variety of Orbois, also called Arbois or Menu Pineau. An old variety it has seen decline in planting but is perfectly capable of making a fine albeit rustic and spicy wine. Former punk rocker and disc jockey turned winemaker, Brendan Tracey has embraced a low interventionist philosophy in his winery, without adding sulfites until maybe a minimal does at bottle, using native yeasts for fermentation and leaving the wines unfiltered and unfined. This white is naturally cloudy and may have sediment settle out in the bottle. ORGANIC and NATURAL.Â
